Course description:

New South Wales and Australian food laws require at least one fully trained Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) in many different hospitality, retail food service and childcare settings.
Catch Training’s Food Safety Supervisor course is how you become qualified as a Food Safety Supervisor working in NSW.
This course covers all the requirements of the NSW Food Authority Food Supervisor Training including the two units of competency (SITXFSA005 and SITXFSA006) as well as an extra focus on safe handling, management of allergens and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
The Food Safety Supervisor course is available at all of our Sydney training centres, as well as on location for groups and corporate bookings.

Unit of competency:

Successful participants will receive National Statement of Attainments in SITXFSA005 – Use hygienic practices for food safety and SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices.

Course outcome:

Catch training is an approved provider by the NSW Food Authority. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a NSW Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate which is valid for five years as well a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in SITXFSA001 – Use hygienic practices for food safety and SITXFSA002 – Participate in safe food handling practices.

Assessment requirements:

To pass the Food Safety Supervisor course you will need to complete a written and practical assessment.
Ensure that you read our Food Safety Supervisor Pre-Course Information and our Student Handbook as it contains our booking conditions, your Catch trainer will teach you everything else that you need to know during the course.
